1. TO BE COLLECTED: Draw a SMALL PICTURE at the top of a paper of the following Shakespearean (extended) metaphor from Romeo and Juliet Act 2.2:
ROMEO
25 She speaks!
26 O, speak again, bright angel! for thou art
27 As glorious to this night, being o'er my head
28 As is a winged messenger of heaven
29 Unto the white-upturned wondering eyes
30 Of mortals that fall back to gaze on him
31 When he bestrides the lazy puffing clouds

2. Next, on the same paper as your sentence, write your own extended/Shakespearean metaphor:

WARMUP: Write out the details of what we decided made for a better response to the highlighted moments in each other’s scripts.
With a partner, read ANOTHER 3 or 4 scripts and highlighted the best moment of each. Also wrote a paragraph explaining why this moment was the best.
REMEMBER: Explain to the author why this moment was so compelling in reference to the lives of their character/s.
