·         Check homework: While I check the top half of “Handout 1 – The Prologue to Act One” (definitions), you finish the BOTTOM HALF of “Handout 1 – The Prologue to Act One”

·         Together, we completed page 2 “Handout 1 - The Prologue to Act One” (taking notes on SONNETS)

·         On your own, complete page 3 of “Handout 1 – The Prologue to Act One”

1.      Put each line of the Prologue into easy-to-understand language - do not simply define the challenging words.

2.      Here’s a good way to paraphrase the first line: ‘Two families, who were equally rich and powerful.’

3.      REMEMBER, a paraphrase is approximately the same length as the original.”
