· FINISH and TURN IN FOR CREDIT…(from yesterday)…
Using your textbook, complete the following:
- Write out Act 1, Scene 1, line 79…then, above it, mark the iambs with 5 sets of (U /)
- Go to Act 1, Scene 1, line 92…write down the definition of “cankered”
- How many Acts are there total, in the whole play?
- In Act 1, Scene 1, lines 1 – 62 are not written in iambic pentameter. Starting with line 63, nearly every line is. Make a guess as to why this is.
- Write out Romeo’s first line of the play.
- Write out Juliet’s first line of the play.
- In your own words, explain what Benvolio means in Act 1, Scene 1, line 160.
- Write 2 lines of iambic pentameter that described how you are feeling today.
- Now shuffle the word order of your each of your two lines (without adding any words)
· Turn in questions 1 – 13 (see yesterday’s questions 1 - 4)
· Read Romeo & Juliet Act 1.1.61 - 156 (pages 810 – 814 in Literature book).
· Watched 2 excerpts of Romeo & Juliet of same opening scene (old and new)

· Finished reading each other’s scripts from the other day. Writing constructive criticism for each.
· Go to media center and type a 2nd draft of your script incorporating some of the changes that were suggested to you in the criticisms you received. BOLD or ITALICISE all changes that you make.
· STAPLE new script to old script - COLLECTED
