· While I collect your homework (or a PINK sheet if you don’t have it)…Write down a line or two of a favorite song. Then convert it to sound Shakespearean by switching its word order.
o Read aloud and summarized the main points as we understood them.
· Yoda slideshow.
· Also likened this word order to the poetry of popular song lyrics and to Yoda from Star Wars
o Why didn’t the writers of Star Wars have Yoda speak more simply?
o How would the character have been different?
· Looked at Shakespeare’s opening Prologue/sonnet to Romeo & Juliet by reading it many different ways.
· Begin homework.
