PLAYWRITING - Day 22
Yesterday, we took notes on 6 scientifically proven ways of
persuasion…in a group of 6, each of you choose a different method of persuasion
and write down a scenario that persuades another person to buy an animal from
the pound.
Finished yesterday’s classwork:
- 20 responses ½ phone
conversation as persuadee
- Switched papers – wrote
the other half of the conversation, this time as the persuader.
Chose one concern off your list and in 5 minutes, listed as
many questions as possible about that concern – then classified them as
factual, wonder, or silly (if time)
THE POINT: Whenever you get stuck in your writing, try asking
questions.
PLAYWRITING homework:
Using newspapers or the internet, find 3 articles about stories that CONCERN you. Bring these to class either printed, cut out, or handwritten.
