ENGLISH - 1st trimester – Day 41

 

  1. Collected homework: What does “boring” look like?
  2. Write down the steps that we followed, sentence by sentence, when we wrote our response to the Android logo article. See how many you can remember.
  3. Show clever vocabulary memory tricks from yesterday’s class:

·         Jaded – The “JAY did” not even fly…it was too exhausted.

·         Advocate – Our waitress highly recommended the advocado.

·         gist – “Gist” get to the point.

·         Charisma – If you CHAR hIS MA, you may lose your charm.

·         Efface – Please erase your butt-ugly face.

·         Ogre – “Oh GRRRR” roared the monster.”

·         Mesmerize – I was hypnotized as I stared at the word “mesmerize.”

·         Entity – (having existence)

·         Bandy – There’s no time to bandy when you’re in marching band.Dastardly – (cowardly)
