ENGLISH - 1^st trimester – Day 52

1. If you haven’t already, turn in classwork from Thursday (“Thank You, M’am” questions and drawings)
2. List the 5 steps of the writing process on your exam review handout (bottom of page 2)
3. Took notes and discussed the five steps of the writing process – used 5 WHO AM I riddles
4. Take PRE-test on misplaced and dangling modifiers - completed “Dangling Modifier” work and compared to “Misplaced Modifier” work.
5. Author’s purpose – see PowerPoint – identified purpose of sample paragraphs
6. Returned graded Human Footprint papers and other graded homework.
1. Sign out folders (if interested)
7. Discussed the final exam using the up Exam Review Guide - 102 multiple choice questions worth 10% of final grade – show math

PLAYWRITING – Day 52

Work in LAB 100 all hour on final comics

Final exam/comic due on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 (worth 10% of grade):

Final Exam Comic Rubric (5 points for each category)

Character action and dialogue Landscape, props Spelling, grammar, punctuation Proper length Use of time

Actions and dialogue are well-matched and related to the scene and the connections are easy to understand Landscape and props are directly related to the purpose of the story and enhance the understanding No spelling, punctuation, or grammatical mistakes Includes at least 12 panels and 20 lines of text Used time wisely
