ENGLISH - 1^st trimester – Day 30

 

MEAP TESTING 2012 – 7:40 – 9:25 – shortened schedule

 

·         While I check your homework (brainstorm + 20 titles)…

• Complete the exercises on the backside of your vocabulary handout

·         Announce 20-question test on “The Cask of Amontillado” – Thursday – Q & A?

• To study for tomorrow’s “The Cask of Amontillado” test (20 questions)
• Write down and study the use of the following terms/ideas in the story:
• impunity, absconded, premeditated, motley, surmounted, vowed revenge, coat of arms, foreshadowing, point of view, imagery, irony

·         Before I collect your homework:

o   Choose your favorite 6 or 7 titles and create a poster that looks like a stack of books.

§  You must include the AUTHOR’S NAME on each book.

o   Staple your poster to last night’s homework (list of 20 titles).

o   Write your name, date, hour on the back of your poster
